Nice to meet you!
We are Badra – the Israeli Listening Center.
Our main objective is to transform Israel into a more attuned country – one that listens. We strive to foster a culture of empathy and deeper communication within our society, where listening would come as naturally to a child as walking and talking.
About our center
Established three years ago, the Israeli Listening Center offers a variety of activities designed to promote better listening habits for businesses, organizations, parents, educators, managers, caregivers, and everyone who wants to introduce the fundamentals of listening to their life.
The Israeli Listening Center adheres to the practical developmental listening model. It is based on the recognition that listening is like a muscle that we can target and cultivate at any point in time in our lives. The practical developmental listening model defines the necessary practices for daily listening practice, in order to turn them into second nature.
In Badra, we investigate, study, and teach listening. We incorporate various methods and tools into our listening practices, derived from Israel and from other countries.

Our Founder
Hello, I am Sari Jackson Klein. I am Noya and Romi’s mother, and Adi’s partner.
At a young age, I suffered abuse. I dreaded sharing my experiences with my environment, and so I was left alone with it. I carried this secret throughout many years of my childhood, feeling deeply alone. One day in high school, an astute and attentive teacher noticed that something with me wasn’t right, approached me, and asked me what was wrong. Compassionate and free of judgment, she listened to me and helped me start my healing process.
At that moment, I realized the power of listening and began my journey to learn and explore listening.
I dream of spreading listening skills and bringing their importance into awareness. In every encounter I have with people, a saying guides me: “Everyone is dealing with something we cannot know about. Let’s be attentive and listen.”
I believe we should all take it into consideration.
